Get Your Kit
Order one $49.99 season kit with a primary NFC tag and two backups. Standard US shipping and printed instructions are included. Bring your own mascot.

Rally Your Neighbors
When your envelope arrives, sign in, create your season, and scan all three tags from your kit. Attach the primary tag to your mascot and keep both backups safe. Invite your neighbors!

Steal the Mascot
Tap the mascot’s tag to record your steal. If it’s an inflatable, unplug it and release any anchors before moving it. Bring the mascot home for the next player.

Track your steals on the leaderboard. The season commissioner picks the win condition — most steals is the most popular, but you can also play for most hold time or last one holding the mascot!

Your kit contains tags and instructions. Choose a mascot your neighbors can recognize and carry easily, then attach the primary tag where everyone can tap it.
A stuffed animal works beautifully
Use a favorite plush you already own. There is no plug or power cord to pull out, making handoffs simpler. Choose one that is easy to carry and keep it protected from weather.
Prefer an inflatable?
Choose an inexpensive, manageable inflatable with a built-in light for easy identification after dark. You buy it separately. Show players how to disconnect it and release its anchors before the game begins.
Unplug first. Then move the mascot.
Parents: teach children to unplug at the plug and release anchors before picking up an inflatable. Never yank the cord or run with a mascot that is still plugged in. Ask an adult for help when needed.

Neighbors, let’s play The Great Jingle Heist! From [start date] to [end date], we’ll take turns claiming [mascot name] and bringing it home. Open igotdibs.app and join with [your season invite code]. No app download needed.
Tap the mascot’s NFC tag with your phone to record your steal. Check the live leaderboard for steals and hold time. Our cooldown is [commissioner’s chosen cooldown]; wait until the game says you can steal again.
Front yards and porches only: no side yards, backyards, or entering homes. Keep the mascot inside our agreed neighborhood area and visible for the next player. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible older sibling who is actively participating.
If our mascot is inflatable, unplug it at the outlet and release its anchors before carrying it. Never drag it or run with it still plugged in. Parents, please show children how before their first steal. A stuffed animal is welcome too!
Play fair, respect your neighbors, and keep it friendly. If it stops being fun, stop and contact the commissioner. Let the heist begin!
